Who We Are
We are Citizens for Wishard.
Citizens for Wishard formed to help advance Wishard's campaign to pass a referendum this fall to build a new, modern and efficient county hospital in downtown Indianapolis.
Wishard's future was secured in a vote on Nov. 3 when Marion County approved its plan for future construction. In this process, we have been heartened by outpourings of support from doctors, health care professionals, community leaders, business leaders, local hospital leaders, education leaders, faith-based leaders, elected officials and private citizens.
Because this referendum passed, Wishard will not be forced to close its doors, shutting out care to central Indiana residents.

Many of Wishard's patients are currently forced to travel through eight elevators and across the distance of three football fields in order to access all of the services they need.
